Did you know that a new housing development is under way in the city of Orange? Olson Homes, which is a leader in providing affordable urban housing in California since 1988, is building these new homes. I am so excited to tell you about their upcoming open house which will celebrate the grand opening of their new homes on Saturday, August 12th from 11am-2pm. On this day, you can tour the four fully furnished attached model homes. There will be light snacks, beverages, a balloon artist and live music.
I cannot tell you enough how great this housing development is for the city of Orange. I grew up in Orange County, so I can tell you that the city of Orange is by far one of the most fun, diverse, centrally located and friendly cities in central Orange County. I spend a lot of time there and have worked there this past summer for the city of Orange’s teen summer camp program. I even went to school at Chapman University for my teaching credential. If that isn’t enough to woo you to this city, then let me tell you about some of the gems that are part of this exciting city. I noticed when I worked there this summer that there were a ton of classic cars that can be seen in and around the Orange Circle and in local mechanic shops. It is definitely an eye catching aspect of this city and adds to its old town feel.
Like I mentioned previously, the city has an amazing summer camp program for kids and teens and an amazing private university, Chapman University, which has small class sizes and hosts a law school, a film school and a school of education to name a few programs.
There is so much to say about the city of Orange that can lure you to move there such as the amazing Orange Public Library located on Chapman Avenue near the Orange Circle. I used to volunteer there years ago in the Friends of the Library bookstore where you can purchase used books for one dollar. You can also rent movies at this library for free with your library card. It also hosts a History Center inside the library where you can find old yearbooks and explore the history of the city of Orange.
The Orange Circle is home to some amazing community events such as the International Street Fair that happens every year during Labor Day Weekend. Every December, there is also the lighting of the Christmas tree at the Orange Circle where you can enjoy a hot chocolate and sing Christmas carols. There is also the Treats in the Streets Autumn Festival which also takes place at the Orange Circle.
Because there is so much to do in Orange, you will never run out of things to do if you choose to live there. The Orange Circle, which is the downtown Orange area, is full of amazing restaurants and dessert shops and you will never run out of new places to try.
