Anchored in the indoor lagoon is an authentically replicated and fully rigged 18th-century Spanish galleon under night sky lighting, measuring 46 feet long and 18 feet wide with 40-foot masts afloat upon 300,000 gallons of water. During this exciting show, you’ll dine from the deck of one of six ships surrounding the galleon. As soon as you walk in, you and your family will be amazed at how everything is set up around the ship. The six ships are separated by color and each section belongs to their colored pirate that they will cheer for throughout the show.

I suggest that you arrive an hour before as well because of several reasons. First of all, you can take plenty of pictures with your party inside the waiting hall and there are also complimentary appetizers while you wait. There is also time for adults to enjoy an alcoholic beverage as there is a full bar at the waiting area. At about 45 minutes before the show starts, you will preview the show by seeing a little bit of acting from pirates and Santa and some acrobatic tricks. Then about twenty minutes before the show starts, you will be escorted with your colored pirate to your seating area inside the venue. We were escorted by the purple pirate and what is really cool is that when you check in, each person will receive a flag, some beads and a pirate bandana. There is also a gift shop in the waiting are with lots of cool pirate souvenirs.

The purple pirate also came over and took pictures with our team. Part of your admission ticket pays for dinner, a soft drink and appetizers before the show. You can also choose a vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free meal if you’d like. The main course has plenty of options and my portion had chicken, mashed potatoes, steamed veggies and a shrimp kebob. For dessert, we had tres leches cake and coffee. It really is like a feast.  My boyfriend’s sister had the vegetarian option that included steamed veggies, mashed potatoes and butternut squash ravioli. She liked it very much.

It goes by super fast because it is a dinner theatre so you are enjoying a three course dinner while watching a very entertaining show. Some of what you will see include pirate songs, Christmas songs, pirate compettions, acrobatic stunts, aerial stunts and interaction with the audience. My boyfriend was even chosen to be a part of the show. For those with birthdays, they are acknowledged at the beginning of the show. My favorite part was definitely the singing because it put me in a festive mood. I also enjoyed the acrobatic and aerial tricks performed by the pirates and the Christmas elf. It was fun to see these amazing actors as they are very talented and can do so much. Sometimes it even gets scary to see the pirates fight with swords but they are well trained actors and they make it look so easy. Other parts are funny too as they reference popular media to make jokes.
